Reaction
Generally, I am not a fan of mobile games. But Kingdom Hearts Missing Link is looking similar to the Kingdom Hearts main games. The HD graphics of series is looking quite nice and running seemingly well on mobile. And the animation of the game is crisp, clean and fluid so far.
Story wise, I am confused and intrigued on where the story is heading. The clues I have picked up from the teaser are stars, drifters, memories, rusty keyblades, and the astral place. The dialogue in the teaser suggests that Keyblade societies trying to keep memories from each other.
The Astral plane is what sticks out to me most. This is because the astral plane is the line between existence and non-existence. Could be this plane bridge that connects the real world of KH and unreality? Also could this aspect be what connects Missing Link to Kingdom Hearts 4?
At least, Missing Link has a release window of 2024. Kingdom Hearts is starting back up again. And I am excited that it is back.
Nomura, the series director share a message on the Japanese Twitter account of KHML:
"We have some information that we would like to share not only with our fans, but with a wider audience, so please take a look at this video. The details will be announced later by the management. This time it is a simple introduction video, but the story will be changed from the initial report to Brain, and the content will be the same as the main story. Thank you in advance." @Nomura
